Don't Judge Me…Or Do

So obviously I plan to lead a very fitness-oriented life, which means, no boobs. Seriously though, if I work THIS hard to achieve a body I'm proud of, I deserve to feel womanly too right? Well, I think so at least sooooooooo August 26th I'm getting breast implants at Longwood Plastic Surgery here in Boston. I've been thinking about it for a long time, and decided that I'm tired of looking like a 12 year old boy! Haha I absolutely don't want to be restricted in any way, so I'm only moving to a "B" cup. Because I have such a small frame, the 275cc saline implants are going to look pretty big and will obviously be a very noticeable change from my basically concave boobs now! The surgery takes about an hour and a half and is completely outpatient afterward. The complete recovery time before I can return to my normal life is a mere 3 weeks! All About Da Gains

I'm slowly making progress toward my goal of being a bikini competitor! There have been several set-backs along the way (and yes, I'm in yet another one right now) but I'll post about that a little later…it's a big one. The fact that I'm still motivated and still as passionate about fitness even after all that's happened has to mean something right? So many people have reached out to me and told me what an inspiration I've been to them and how surprised they are at how much I've changed over the past year. There's no feeling more gratifying than knowing I'm motivating others to lead healthier lifestyles and that they honestly look to me for motivation and inspiration! Despite all the obstacles I've encountered thus far, I know I've found the right career path for me, and I'm VERY eager to not be broken anymore so I can give it my all!

Man Hands

My refusal to use lifting gloves is really becoming apparent. I think I have officially reach the man-hand status! It hurts to do pull-ups, pick up anything remotely heavy and even to use germ x! Ugh! It'll be totally worth it thought when I'm a buff fitness competitor! Haha I recently bought chalk, which has helped immensely with the ripping. I still have wicked calluses though, and even feel self conscious when I shake peoples hands! I will admit, it definitely shows all the hard work I've put in and they're only gonna get worse from here, so I may as well learn to embrace the man-hands! No pain no gain, right?!?

Thai Basil Chicken

I hate paying the outrageous prices for takeout food all the time. I'm also trying to force myself into the habit of bringing food with me everywhere so that I can start saving money! I really wanted something spicy the other night and one of my favorite meals from Thai restaurants are the spicy basil dishes! Macros: fat-19g, carbs- 9g, protein- 25g and calories- 330 (without brown rice) 






Ingredients:
-8oz chicken breast
-1 1/2 cups broccoli
-1 Thai chili pepper (or other fresh small hot pepper) 
-1 clove garlic 
-1tbs low sodium soy sauce
-1tsp chili oil
-2tbs fish sauce
-bunch of fresh basil leaves (roughly chopped)
-brown rice (optional) 

It's a lot of food, so you may not need the rice, unless you want to make it into 2 meals! 

Directions:

-Put chopped pepper, garlic and chili oil in non-stick skillet on high 
-Cook until aromatic 
-Add chicken and broccoli and cook for about 2 minutes 
-Cook until chicken and broccoli and done
-Add fish sauce, soy sauce and basil leaves
-Cook until basil is wilted 
-Plate it up!

Best Dessert Ever

I really wanted some froyo tonight, but had no desire to go out and walk to get some! Soooo I decided to get creative and use my new sugar free chocolate syrup that I stumbled upon today while grocery shopping! This whole treat adds up to only 105 calories and it's the perfect amount to satisfy that late-night ice cream craving! 


Ingredients:
-1/2 fat free yogurt (I used plain)
-1 packet natural sweetener 
-1/2 banana (mine was already frozen)
-2tbs sugar free chocolate syrup 

Directions: 
-mix yogurt and natural sweetener
-top with sliced banana and syrup
-freeze

Healthy Banana Pancakes

These would be an even better start to your morning if you were to add a scoop of protein powder! These are super simple and came out to be the perfect consistency too, which has often been a problem with trying to create my own pancake recipes in the past. It's often too soupy, but these were perfect and moist too! The macros: protein- 3g, fat- 2g, carbs- 5g and calories- 205 (without syrup). The syrup I used is the Vermont sugar free syrup, and it's 15 calories for 1/4 c, which brings the calorie total to 220! 






Ingredients:
-1 banana
-1/4c old fashioned oats
-1tbs egg substitute
-1/8tsp baking soda
-1tbs natural sweetener for baking (or 1 packet natural sweetener)
-pinch of salt
-cinnamon to taste (I used several shakes)

Directions:
-Mix everything (except syrup) in blender until smooth
-Heat non-stick pan over medium heat
-Pour mixture into small pancakes 
-Once bubbling, flip over
-Cook until golden brown on both sides
-top with cinnamon, more baking sweetener and 1/4c syrup
-Devour!!!!

Protein Mug Cake

This recipe is super easy and is extra delicious if you add a little sugar free maple syrup on top at the end! Yum! The macros: protein- 32g, fat- 2.5g, carbs- 10g, sugar- 2g and calories- 180
(Add around 10 calories for syrup topping)




Ingredients:
-1 scoop chocolate whey protein
-1tbs unsweetened cocoa powder
-2tbs unsweetened almond milk
-1tbs egg substitute 
-1tbs pb2
-1/4tsp baking soda
-3 packets natural sweetener (I used monk fruit) 
-pinch of salt

Directions:
-mix all ingredients together in mug
-microwave for 1 minute total (but you'll have to stop about every 10 seconds to prevent your cake from over flowing!) 
-top with sugar free syrup and enjoy!
